Easedale Lodge Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing to book with Easedale Lodge. We look forward to welcoming you to Easedale Lodge and to Ambleside. When you make this booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below:

Prices: The price includes accommodation plus breakfast unless confirmed as a ‘room only’ booking. Unless clearly stated in the booking confirmation, all extras are additional.

Payments: For all bookings we require a deposit of the first nights’ stay to confirm the booking. We will charge this to your debit or credit card. We will send you an email or letter confirming the booking and letting you know what the outstanding balance is. The balance is due on departure. We accept cash, debit cards and credit cards.

Surcharges: Due to the substantial charges we incur in processing credit card and business or international card transactions, please note that we share this cost with customers by adding a processing surcharge on each transaction of 2% for UK personal credit cards and 3% for international or business payment cards. Payment by UK personal debit card or cash attracts no additional charge.

Pets: Pets are not permitted.

Cancellation and Insurance: Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is non-refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately by phone and email or letter. For cancellations made up to 2 weeks before your booking you will not be liable for the total balance, however the deposit remains non-refundable. For cancellations made after this time, or by failing to take up the booking without cancelling, you will be liable for the total amount. Any such outstanding balance will be charged to your debit or credit card. For this reason you may wish to take out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker. In the event we are able to re-let for the length of your stay at an equivalent rate, you will be refunded the money.

Non-availability: We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Arrival: Your accommodation is available to you from 5pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please let us know if you plan to arrive after 7pm.

Departure: Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Your bill for the accommodation and any extras or services taken during your stay is payable on departure.

Liability: We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Data: Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer.
