Breakfast

A hearty breakfast is served in our beautiful conservatory dining room, usually around 8.30/9.00 a.m. – the ideal time and place to watch the village waking up to a new day.

We source our food products as locally as possible...

• the village greengrocer brings our fruit & veg from market
• our eggs and milk are delivered from Windermere farms
• our sausages are Cumberland of course
• our coffee is roasted and blended by Farrer’s of Kendal
• ...and our bread comes all the way across our car park from the bakers next door!

Help yourself to the breakfast buffet, topped with Lakeland slate to keep everything cool:

fruit juice - cereals - seeds – grapefruit – prunes - fresh fruit – light greek yoghurt

Choose a cafetiere of fresh ground Farrer’s coffee or a speciality tea, served in a bone china teapot:

Earl Grey – Darjeeling – Ceylon – Assam – Camomile – Peppermint – Green Tea - Decaf

Fresh toast is served at your table and we cook our full English breakfast to individual order - have the full works or choose from the tasty selection of:

unsmoked back bacon – Cumberland sausage – black pudding - fried, poached or scrambled egg - hash brown – baked beans – fresh mushrooms – grilled tomato

Special dietary requirements are catered for individually – please let us know when you book.

Dining out

The ideal location of Easedale Lodge means you are only a few minutes walk from every restaurant and watering hole in Ambleside...and what a range of options there is!...everything from fine dining to pub grub, traditional English fare to exotic specialities, with an excellent range of bistro style restaurants in between. Our menu file makes interesting reading but nothing beats a stroll around the village to take in the aromas and peruse the menu boards.

Packed lunches

Fill your flask at the Lodge and order a tasty pack-up from ’The Filling Station’ before breakfast (or the day before) and collect it on your way out for the day – choose a fresh panini or baguette, select one of the many fillings on offer, add the usual crisps/cold drink/chocolate bars but don’t forget a thick slab of fantastic home-baked cake!
